How often would we meet?
I offer short and long term counselling, and usually see clients once a week for 50 minutes.

What does it cost?
The sessions cost £37. I can see some clients on a lower cost basis by negotiation.

How do I know you are professional?
I have undertaken a 3½ year Diploma course at Re-Vision, a training course which is accredited
by the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I follow the BACP and
Re-Vision Codes of Ethics. I am supervised in my work on a regular basis. This is a strong framework
to make sure I practice in a safe and professional way.

Do you keep what we discuss confidential?
Anything you say in the sessions will be treated in strictest confidence, with very rare exceptions, following BACP Guidelines.

What is the first step?
If you are looking for a counsellor, it's very important that you feel comfortable with them. I recommend a one off session to new clients so that we can see how we feel working together and discuss any concerns you may have. If we both agreed we wanted to work together, I would suggest an initial contract for six sessions. Towards the end of those sessions, we would talk about how things have been and whether we wanted to continue.
